A GoPro “hyperlapse” vide of the trip from Kingston to Waterford.
I’ve been accumulating some GoPro video from this trip. In this particular clip, I’ve used the “hyperlapse” feature built into my GoPro Hero 8 camera to creat a time-lapse video of a full day of travel on the Hudson River. This includes passing through Erie Canal Lock #1 at Troy and the turn into the canal at Waterford. Enjoy!
Fun to watch this. Liked the sunrise moving to the right. And watching the clouds come and go and then finally go.
I’m headed to a wedding in two weeks in Troy, right on the river, so it was fun to pause the video and try to find the venue.

Some time lapses are good, but I think this one was too long. I might shoot another going up the St. Claire River tomorrow. The GoPro is all ready.
